The beds very comfy
This hotel is a little difficult to find ( look for the laneway, it’s in the back). The hotel is new and clean. Room very comfortable. Has WIFI. It has a beautiful pool. Currently our room had no air conditioning but by the looks of an electrical outlet they probably plan for one. Good view of Olt river. But I’d like to make a special mention about the staff. I had a medical emergency which required special attention. The staff listened and decided to help in a way that wasn’t expected of them. Thanks very much hotel Ostrov.
We were staying at a nearby guesthouse on a cobbled, unlit road, not within the hotel.

Despite all the negative reviews I read, I had the most beautiful weekend!
We arrived in the evening, somewhere close to 9:45 p.m.. we arrived at the reception for accommodation, we were greeted by a very kind gentleman.. from the discussions we had with him, he was the owner of the place.. downstairs, the evening was cheered up thanks to the band which they had.. a formation that made all the guests feel welcome.
Being late, we didn't really insist on entering the pool, the schedule being until 10:00 p.m. Also at 10 p.m., the band's program ended.
We were pleasantly surprised to have the owner's approval to be able to enjoy the pool all evening! Only us surrounded by complete silence!
It should be noted that the water in the pool was extraordinary!
It is definitely a place where we will return!
If there was a 6* rating, I would have given it to this hotel! It is small, but the atmosphere is very pleasant. The rooms are clean and tastefully furnished, the bathroom is equipped with everything you need - dryer, towels, shower gel. My room offered a beautiful view of Olt. The hotel offers tourists a terrace with a splendid view of Olt and the mountains. The reception staff is kind and efficient. The hotel offers accommodation and breakfast included, plus free access to the pool with thermal water at a very good price. The Swedish buffet breakfast is excellent. At lunch and in the evening, the restaurant serves varied, very tasty dishes, and the meal is served in a pleasant musical atmosphere. A short distance from the hotel is the Ostrov monastery and a beautiful park. Hotel Ostrov offers tourists a pleasant experience. I will definitely come back!❤
